Megan Fishpool

Megan Fishpool RE is a professional printmaker of many years standing.

Her printmaking methods are intaglio, lithography and monotype. Her images stem from trying to capture the element of a situation that defines it into a permanent memory for us - the rhythm and flow of a visual/physical encounter, the shape and form of a sound - the nugget of the motif that makes us retain it.

She has worked and maintained Artichoke Print Workshop and Gallery in South London since 1996. She exhibits regularly in the UK and been included in exhibitions in New York, The Netherlands and Korea. Her prints are in many private collections.

She contributes to several publications including Printmaking Today,
Art Business Today, Galleries Magazine and Art Review. She also works as a visiting lecturer at a number of UK colleges [including Central St Martins and Winchester School of Art] and as an invited artist teaching at regional printmaking seminars and studios. She is a keen promoter of printmaking and teaches printmaking for both children and adults.
